During the maintenance phase of romantic relationships, Historical-SocioCultural Premises (PHSC) play a crucial role in shaping the beliefs and norms that guide this stage. Recent research highlights the importance of aspects such as respect, trust, and self-care in this context. The present study focuses on developing and validating a measure of PHSC, considering both the learned and agreed-upon versions during relationship maintenance. To this end, 797 individuals participated, all of whom had been living with their partner for more than a year. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses revealed three explanatory factors in both versions, with adequate reliability coefficients. These findings underscore the complexity of romantic relationship dynamics and emphasize the importance of understanding the various dimensions that influence the quality of intimate relationships.
