Gender & History

Abstract

Gender & History is a global gender studies journal publishing research on femininity, masculinity and gender across eras and territories. The journal welcomes work on changing conceptions of gender, practices and semiotics of gender, and their historical contexts. We encourage engaging essays both on particular episodes and themes in gender history, visual artifacts, and theoretical and historiographical pieces that evaluate distinctive ways of assessing gender analysis or the chronicling of gender history.
