Mediación Universitaria con Perspectiva de Género: Fundamentos para la Gestión Pacífica de Conflictos en la Educación Superior

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze university mediation with a gender perspective as an alternative for the peaceful management of conflicts in higher education institutions. It is based on the recognition that conflicts and gender inequalities can affect university coexistence when adequate mechanisms for their prevention and management are lacking. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach, with a descriptive scope and a documentary research design, through the review of specialized literature, regulations, and documents related to mediation and gender perspective. The findings show that mediation promotes dialogue, the construction of agreements, and the creation of safer, more inclusive, and equitable environments. It is concluded that university mediation with a gender perspective constitutes an effective tool not only for conflict resolution but also for the prevention of violence and the strengthening of a culture of peace within higher education institutions.
