La Violencia Vicaria en Quintana Roo: un Análisis desde la Perspectiva de los Derechos Humanos y el Género

Abstract

This research analyzes the issue of vicarious violence in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico, from a human rights and gender perspective. The national and state legal framework, including the National Code of Criminal Procedures and the Law on Women's Access to a Life Free of Violence, is examined to assess its effectiveness in protecting victims. Through a documentary analysis and recent statistical data, the manifestations of this form of violence, its impact on women, girls, boys, and adolescents, and the barriers that victims face in accessing justice are explored. The study highlights the need to strengthen public policies, the training of justice operators, and the implementation of comprehensive protection measures that guarantee the best interests of the child and the right of women to a life free of violence. It is concluded that, although there are normative advances, significant challenges persist in the effective application of the law and in the eradication of the structural gender violence that underlies vicarious violence.
