Abstract

The simulation setup consists on an space of 1 cubic astronomical unit space whit a constant magnetic field and a helical magnetic field with or without shock/sheath structure, all of them with characteristics similar to the observed in the interplanetary space inside of magnetic clouds. Then protons with energy in the 10 - 160 GeV range are injected in different directions towards the magnetic flux rope and the trajectory of each particle is followed. To compute the anisotropy we count the number of protons deviated towards the axis of the magnetic flux rope over trajectories similar to that of an space craft crossing a magnetic cloud.

Description

Simulated trajectories of protons with energy in the 10 - 160 GeV range, crossing a magnetic flux rope with size of tenths of astronomical unit; magnetic field strength of few nT; with and with out shock/sheath, in csv and save format. Figures showing the anisotrpy caused by the magnetic flux rope over the other wise isotropic flux of cosmic rays.
